Promise Care NJ is seeking an individual who will be responsible for ensuring that prior authorizations are received before services are performed.

Authorizations Process Specialist Responsibilities:

• Requesting and following up on authorizations according to insurance plan requirements
• Checking insurance eligibility
• Appealing denied authorizations
• Responsible for accurate data entry of authorizations
• Ensuring accuracy of corrections and adjustments to authorizations

Authorizations Process Specialist Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowledge of MS office and ER software
• At least one year experience as an authorizations/billing specialist
• At least three years experience in home health
• Attention to detail
• Insurance verification: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical billing: 1 year (Preferred)

Authorizations Process Specialist Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Expected hours: 40 per week
