First Class Machinist – CNC & Manual Machining | North Billerica, MA

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking a highly skilled First Class Machinist for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity on either 1st or 2nd shift . This role involves advanced machining responsibilities, including setup, operation, and maintenance of complex machine tools, with a focus on close-tolerance parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Location: North Billerica, MA

Pay: $34 – $36 per hour, depending on experience

Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire

What You’ll Do:

• Work from complex blueprints, job layouts, and specifications using a range of precision instruments
• Set up, adjust, and operate various manual and CNC machine tools including milling machines, boring mills, lathes, and drill presses
• Perform advanced machining on new, development, or repeat jobs across various metals
• Select appropriate speeds, feeds, tooling, and sequences for machining operations
• Grind tooling, machine custom parts, and make modifications to improve tool performance
• Maintain clean, organized workspaces and adhere to safety, quality, and documentation standards
• Contribute to floor planning and equipment improvements as needed
• Participate in tasks requiring climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, kneeling, and handling metal parts and tools
• Perform the duties of 2C and 3C machinists as necessary

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on machining experience
• High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training preferred
• Strong understanding of shop math, machining principles, and safety practices
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
• Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and vernier instruments
• Valid OSHA forklift license and 1C/3A hoisting license required (or ability to obtain)
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable standing for prolonged periods and working in environments with ambient temperatures
