Junior DevOps Engineer
Location: Columbia, MD (Hybrid – up to 2 days telework per week)
Department: DevOps Team
Reports To: Senior DevOps Lead
Salary Range: $90,000 – $135,000 (commensurate with experience)
Security Clearance : TS/SCI Polygraph
Power3 Solutions is seeking a driven Junior DevOps Engineer to support a mission-critical national security program. You’ll play a key role in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the infrastructure behind secure and scalable software systems. This position is ideal for an early-career professional with hands-on technical experience and a hunger to learn more in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.
What You’ll Do:
Assist in deploying and maintaining software across legacy and modern systems.
Support the migration of software to secure cloud environments.
Help research, design, and manage CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
Monitor and improve infrastructure performance, ensuring system reliability and scalability.
Work closely with developers, security engineers, and platform administrators to streamline operations and deployments.
Required Skills & Technologies:
Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, Docker Compose, and Helm.
Working knowledge of Git, GitLab, GitLab Runners, Rancher, and Linux CLI tools.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with docker microservice architectures.
Exposure to AWS tools including CloudFormation, EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, and DynamoDB.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field OR 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or related IT disciplines.
Work Environment:
Onsite in Columbia, MD with flexible telework up to 2 days per week.
