**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of hand and power tools and capable of fabricating simple sheet metal parts. This role involves working on a variety of mechanical and fabrication projects in a fast-paced workshop or field environment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform mechanical assembly and repairs as needed.
+ Fabricate basic sheet metal components using shears, brakes, and other metalworking equipment.
+ Use hand and power tools (grinders, drills, saws, etc.) to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or work orders to determine project specifications.
+ Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines accurately on materials.
+ Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
+ Perform routine maintenance on fabrication tools and equipment.
+ Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and project deadlines.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
+ Ability to fabricate sheet metal parts.
+ Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
+ Knowledge of mechanical assembly and repair.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with MIG/TIG welding is a plus.
+ Familiarity with CNC or automated fabrication tools.
+ Forklift or overhead crane operation experience.
+ Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA regulations.

**Work Environment**
The position is shop-based with occasional field assignments depending on project needs. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The work environment includes exposure to noise, dust, and metalworking processes.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Livermore, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
