Job Summary:
The Salon Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Guest Care Department and its team members.
Within this role, the Salon Coordinator will be in charge of facilitating an exceptional client care experience as well as assisting the management team with operational roles and responsibilities.
The Salon Coordinator uses creative skills and attention to detail to assist the Social Media Manager with salon marketing and other creative projects. The Salon Coordinator will work closely with Coloroom's owners and the Retail Specialist to ensure salon success and growth.

Tuesday - Saturday (varied shifts/location)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
● Assists in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new staff.
● Trains and manages the Guest Care Department.
● Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
● Assists in client care interactions and follow up when necessary.
● Assists management team to create, uphold, and evolve client and staff policies.
● Oversees and assists in daily open-close operations.
● Handles delegation of salon tasks to team members when appropriate.
● Participates in regular manager meetings and staff meetings.
● Performs other related duties as assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities:
● Provides excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and digitally.
● Provides excellent phone customer service and oversees phone management for high volume calls at a multi-location salon.
● Books and manages appointments by learning and utilizing the SalonBiz booking system daily.
● Provides clear communication to guests and colleagues both digitally and in person.
● Assists the Social Media Manager with written and creative marketing projects.
● Learns and provides service regarding AVEDA retail.
● Assists the Retail Specialist with related retail and inventory tasks.
● Learns and effectively implements new policies, specials, and updates in the salon.
● Performs daily cleaning tasks throughout the salon as assigned.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of customer service experience required.
At least 1 year of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Previous salon experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, move, and be on feet for long hours or extended periods of time.
Ability to bend, lift, kneel, and reach throughout the day.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
