**Travel Shipfitter** **Newport News, VA per diem $140** Pay: $45 an hour Per diem: $140 Benefits, PTO, Holidays off, etc. 2+ year contract **Job Description** + Perform single/Multi pass tack welding using the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) process. + Operate burning-oxygen/propane burning torches and heating-oxygen/propane heating torches. + Interpret complex structural assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches, including weld symbols, material types, and datum and reference lines. + Comprehend fractional dimensions using a ruler. + Lay off piece parts for fabrication and assembly. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
